Hyatt Hotels signs multiple hotel deal for Thailand
Thai real estate group Asset World Corporation and Hyatt Hotels Corp have strengthened their partnership with a new deal to introduce several new hotels to Thailand.
The framework agreement calls for the development of more than 1,000 new rooms across various Hyatt-branded hotels.
There are few specific details yet but new hotels are expected in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Pattaya.
"We are excited to have AWC’s deep knowledge and expertise in both hospitality and the Thai market, which will enable us to introduce brands that will cater to a broader premium market segment, and bring new and unique options to the current hospitality landscape," said David Udell, Hyatt Group president, Asia-Pacific.
Udell said the expansion will focus on growing its lifestyle brands.
