Hyatt transforming AmeriSuites for Gen X
Global Hyatt Corp. announced makeovers of its 146 AmeriSuites with an eye to Generation X travelers.
The Chicago-based hotel company is spending $175 million in the next two years to transform the properties. The concept explained by company officials is to provide high-tech touches while still remaining homey as well as affordable.
The Hyatt Place prototype recently unveiled features such as raised pillow-top beds with cantilevered ledges jutting from oversized wooden headboards. Other features include sitting rooms redesigned as a cozy corner with an L-shaped sectional sofa bed.
