IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 arrives in Barcelona
IAAPA, the global leading association for the attractions industry, is set to deliver innovation, engaging content, and unmatched networking at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, taking place from 22 to 26 September at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
More than 17,000 professionals from theme parks, water parks, indoor centers, museums, zoos, and resorts are expected to attend.
With over 700 exhibitors and 60 educational events, the Expo will spotlight the latest trends, technologies, and forward-thinking solutions shaping the industry’s future.
This year introduces several exciting additions. A cruise-themed EDUTour aboard the MSC World Europa will explore how cruise lines now incorporate immersive entertainment and theme park-style attractions.
A new Women in the Industry Networking Lunch will provide a welcoming space to foster inclusion and build connections, led by Europa-Park’s Katja Mack and Maya Mattar of Lasting Impressions. The revamped Networking Lunch and Job Fair will connect young talent with industry leaders in a more informal setting.
Leadership Breakfast to look at pressing topics
IAAPA Leadership Breakfast remains the top executive session, featuring Parques Reunidos CEO Pascal Ferracci and B Lab Europe Co-Founder Daniel Truran. They will discuss innovation and pressing industry issues. Industry-focused days will offer deep dives into key topics.
The session will look at safety, sustainability, indoor attractions, and water parks. Informal evening receptions will provide further opportunities for meaningful professional connections.
Attendees will also benefit from EDUSessions covering a wide array of subjects. It includes operations, guest retention, artificial intelligence, and more. Each will deliver practical strategies to elevate careers and organizations.
The event will also integrate with Barcelona through EDUTours and networking sessions. They will highlight local attractions and cultural venues. These events will reinforce the city’s status as a world-class destination for experience-driven entertainment.
Supporting the next generation of professionals, IAAPA will again host a fundraising initiative during the Expo. Attendees can purchase artisan chocolate bars made by Xócala. This local social enterprise creates employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
