ICE to create up to 100 new jobs
International Cruise & Excursions (ICE) Europe has announced plans to create up to 100 new jobs at a customer contact centre, to be opened in Middlesex.
It has already launched a recruitment drive to attract sale staff for the new centre, which will be located in Stanmore.
Earlier this month, ICE – a loyalty programme specialist – bought the website domains 1st4cruising.com and Voyana.com from Total Travel Leisure Holdings (TTLH). Twenty-five people are expected to be made redundant from TTLH’s Leicester office, but ICE said it had not offered any of them jobs.
"However, anyone is invitied to apply for these positions, but the new centre will be for outbound sales whereas in Leicester they were more involved in selling inbound so there is a different skills set," said an ICE spokesman.
ICE Europe senior vice president Warren Joy said: "The acquisition of these website domains and associated customer databases has further strengthened our position as a world leading provider of innovative cruise and travel programs.
"New recruits for the Stanmore operation will preferably have a background in sales, but they don’t necessarily need travel industry experience as they will go through a four week training programme to introduce them to the range of ICE products and our proven customer relationship management systems."
ICE has an existing outbound contact centre in Cork as well as a European headquarters and administration centre in Kettering.
The new facility in Stanmore is designed to further bolster these operations by servicing the company’s growing customer base, it said.
Potential applicants for the vacancies in Stanmore should email their CV to [email protected]
