iCoupon partners with Uber for iCoupon Rides
Vouchering platform iCoupon has teamed up with ride hailing giant Uber.
It will offer passenger taxi services to iCoupon’s airline partners.
The partnership will enable a simplified process that promises to be easily accessible to customers.
Airlines signed up to the programme will be able to use Uber services to transport passengers or crew, to a required destination such as their accommodation during disruptions.
iCoupon Rides has locked-in origins and destinations transmitted to Uber and communicated back to the user via SMS.
This is without the need for an Uber account or the Uber app.
Upon receipt of the ride request, travellers are notified via SMS and provided with a link to track their ride on Uber’s website.
Airlines are able to track the traveller’s journey to ensure their safe arrival.
Richard Bye, CEO of iCoupon, said; “The launch of iCoupon Rides is going to make a real difference to the experience of passengers whose flights have been disrupted, or airline staff who need quick and easy transportation.”
