IHG announces first voco hotel in Southeast Asia
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the signing of its first voco brand hotel in Southeast Asia.
The new-build property will be located in Bangkok’s lively Sukhumvit area featuring 300 rooms.
The hotel will have an all-day dining venue, a swimming pool and pool bar, and a fitness centre.
It will also house meeting space for up to 400 guests.
"Bangkok represents an excellent launch market for one of the newest additions to our brand portfolio. This signing continues the accelerated growth of the voco brand since we launched it last June," said Clarence Tan, IHG’s managing director, South East Asia & Korea.
The very first voco opened recently on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Voco Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is slated to open in 2021.
IHG currently has 24 hotels open across five brands in Thailand with a further 27 in the development pipeline.
