IHG names new marketing chief
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Claire Bennett as chief marketing officer with immediate effect.
She joins IHG from American Express where she worked for a decade in senior marketing roles.
Bennett brings marketing, brand and loyalty expertise and was previously Amex general manager for its consumer loyalty team.
"We are delighted to welcome Claire to IHG as Chief Marketing Officer. She is an extremely talented marketer and has an outstanding reputation as an innovative and strategic leader," said IHG CEO Keith Barr.
"Claire’s broad and highly relevant brand marketing experience, combined with her deep insight into the hospitality industry, will enable her to provide strong leadership for this critical area of our business."
She is also a former executive board member of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
