IMEX America reveals details of education sessions
IMEX America has unveiled details of education programs taking place at this year’s show from 14 – 16 October 2014 in Las Vegas.
Over three-quarters, or 76% of programs offered will be industry accredited.
The Convention Industry Council reviewed all 180 of the show’s education sessions and designated those which have attained accredited status.
This ensures participants will be able to accrue points or record hours towards CMP exams or CMP recertification while attending sessions, both on the pre-show education day and over the three days.
MPI will conduct 43 education sessions during the show of which 31 will be held on the pre-show education day.
This will include MPI’s Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) course.
"The education program we developed for IMEX America covers a variety of hot topics and trends – all of which will help the show’s attendees evolve with our changing industry," said Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI.
Numerous workshops and seminars are planned covering a wide range of areas, such as ‘The Newest Buzz Word in Meetings Sponsorship,’ ‘The Zen of Meetings,’ ‘Top 10 out of Office Apps’ and more.
During the three days IMEX America is highlighting the importance of the Meetings Mean Business Coalition alongside the US Travel Association.
Citing the breadth of programs planned for this year’s event, Carina Bauer, IMEX Group CEO said: "Each year we strive to add more value to our education program and we are helped enormously by having so many excellent industry partners who have a great deal of expertise to share."
