Intrepid Travel will hide globes of the world across Melbourne tomorrow, Friday, and from 8.30am will use its Twitter account to lure Melbourne tweeters with clues of their whereabouts to win prizes.

Those who find globes can win from a prize pool valued at $12,000, with travel vouchers and trips to Intrepid destinations including Peru, Morocco and China.

Intrepid Travel’s Meg Koffel said, “I’m looking forward to seeing how many super sleuths can crack the clues to find the #intrepidtreasure”

“Sign up to Intrepid’s Twitter page and start following us before Friday to find out where the globes are waiting around Melbourne’s CBD.”

As a company, we see great potential in social media and this event follows on from a successful trial Twitter-only event we ran in San Francisco earlier this year.”

Intrepid is also hosting a virtual hunt for those who can’t be in Melbourne for the treasure hunt.
