Independent agents reminded of event date change
ITEX is keen to remind agents that its show, which caters specifically for independent agents, will take place in June, rather than the date previously scheduled. The show was originally scheduled to take place this week, but will now be on June 9 to 11 at the Business Design Centre in London. Organisers made the decision in October to change the date in order to allow the luxury travel section to be fully developed. The organisers of ITEX have teamed up with Advantage Travel Centres in a joint marketing venture. The deal means Advantage will promote the show to its members and ITEX will promote the Advantage Kuala Lumpur Conference taking place a few weeks earlier. Visitors attending ITEX who didn’t get a chance to go to Kuala Lumpur will also be able to experience the highlights of the conference. Advantage sales and marketing director, Colin O’Neill said: “This event recognises that our members, and others like them, are an integral part of the travel industry and treats them as the serious businesses they are.” According to ITEX visitors to the show will be able to meet over 130 exhibitors, attend business seminars and meet NTO’s in the 24 “Destination Presentation” areas in the event. Advantage members will benefit from use of the Advantage Fast Track programme and Advantage Club Lounge at the show.
