India domestic air traffic up by nearly half in June
More than three million passengers travelled by air in June, a rise of 47%, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said. That compares to 2.12 million passengers carried in May.
IndiGo remains out in front as the dominant carrier with a 54.7% share of the domestic market, ahead of Air India with a 16.5% share.
IndiGo’s passenger load factor was at 62.7% while full service carrier Vistara filled 70.9% of seats.
