India’s Treebo Hotels acquires online platform Events High
Indian budget hotel operator Treebo Hotels has made its first acquisition with the capture of online events platform Events High.
Terms of the acquisition for the Bengaluru-based travel start-up have not been disclosed.
The small Events High workforce, including the company founders, will join Treebo.
Treebo Hotels CEO Sidharth Gupta said the Events High tech platform will eventually be integrated into the Treebo business.
Events High has a presence in eight cities, and allows users to search and book curated experiences and events which include expreriences, concerts and shows, and social meet-ups.
Gupta said users will soon be able to search and book hotel stays and nearby events together.
"So far our offering has been hotels, but we are now placing ourselves as a travel company. By providing access to local events, we could supplement our core offering," he said.
