IndiGo cuts UK flight frequencies
Due to uncertainty over airspace restrictions and other external factors, IndiGo is scaling back flights from India to the UK.
India’s largest airline will cut its scheduled Delhi-Manchester services from five weekly flights to four starting this weekend.
It will then further reduce it down to three flights per week starting February 19.
The Delhi-London Heathrow will also be downsized.
From February 9, flight frequencies will be reduced from five a week to four.
Some of these changes were planned as seasonal schedule changes but the airline has brought them forward due to the constantly changing geopolitical issues in the middle east and Pakistan.
In addition, the direct Copenhagen route will be suspended from February 17 for an indefinite period, it said.
IndiGo has a relatively small long haul fleet made up of Dreamliners leased from Norse Atlantic Airways.
