IndiGo launching Myanmar flights
Indian carrier IndiGo is spreading its wings to Myanmar.
It will start daily direct flights to Yangon from Kolkata from September 20.
India’s biggest airline by market share is offering special introductory fares starting from INR 5,999 to mark the new route.
"We see significant traffic coming from Yangon to the Buddhist circuit thereby enhancing economic growth and tourism in India, said William Boulter, chief commercial officer at IndiGo.
It recently announced a slew of new routes including flights to Bangkok, Singapore and the Middle East.
It also just announced another new route linking Delhi with Dhaka, Bangladesh.
