International cruise lines return to Sanya
After three years, international cruise ships are sailing again at Sanya in Hainan.
Cruise ship Resorts World One, carrying 1,800 guests, docked at Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Port this week.
Resorts World One will offer 32 short two and three-night Sanya cruises from Hong Kong through April 2024.
It comes days after China officially reopened for international cruises.
“The inaugural Sanya cruise marks a new chapter for our company and our ship as we continue to innovate new itineraries with popular destinations,” said Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises.
Nationals from nearly 60 countries are eligible for a visa-free stay in Hainan.
Hong Kong is a key tourism market for Sanya.
