Is that a snake in your suitcase?
A traveller from the Czech republic has reportedly been arrested and faces criminal charges after being caught with more than 100 rare animals stuffed into his suitcase. According to the online news provider Ananova, the 43-year-old man was stopped at Prague’s Ruzyne airport after getting off a flight from Indonesia. The website reports that the man was carrying 19 pythons, 22 lizards, and 74 turtles in the case; the animals were valued at more than £200 each. All the animals except one turtle were reported to be alive; they have now been sent to the country’s Plzen zoo.
