Responsible Tourism prize by Italy’s travel trade journal.

The prize is to be awarded at WTE (World Heritage Tourism Exhibition) which is to be held this year in Padua from 19th – 21st September and is supported by UNESCO.

The Italian Responsible Tourism (TRI) Award was founded by L’Agenzia di Viaggi, the Italian travel trade paper, with the support of ENIT, Fiavet and UFTAA. The official ceremony will be held in Padova on September 19th 2015, in partnership with the World Tourism Expo UNESCO Sites and Cities and the Italian Unesco Heritage Sites Association.

Said Cristina Ambrosini, Publisher "In our 50th anniversary year L’Agenzia di Viaggi’s commitment is to recognize and support people and companies, in Italy and around the world, who are active in the Responsible Tourism travel offer, which must be also available through travel agencies, offline and online."

More than 50 companies have already received the award in five categories: Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Hospitality, Public and Private Tourism bodies and, from 2015, Cultural & Sustainable Events.

To submit your nomination to the 2015 TRI Award, send a detailed description of a responsibile tourism package – together with the completed TRI questionaire – to: [email protected] by August 6 2015
