Sustainable tourism 2016 event announces world sustainable tourism figures as key masterclass leaders

World sustainable tourism figures Professor Geoffrey Lipman of GreenEarth, Andrea Nicholas of Green-Tourism and Valere Tjolle to be key masterclass leaders.

The event combines masterclasses, a forum and field visits to get a real experience of green tourism in action in a destination that has been welcoming tourists for many years and is now going green.

Destination managers, NGOs, tour operators, destination businesses, academics will learn from world-class authorities sustainable tourism thought-leaders in an iconic and very beautiful green destination which has lake and mountain tourism, seaside tourism, cultural and food and wine tourism – all in a relatively compact area.

Participants will investigate green tourism in depth.

Dates 12-16 September 2016

Green Seminar Takeaways will include:

  • knowledge of profitable green destination examples in practice,
  • higher revenues from upcoming opportunities
  • knowledge of sustainable marketing practices,
  • better understanding of sustainable tourism opportunities

The range of masterclasses will include ‘The big picture – the next few tourism years insights/ food and drink and other destination yield-enhancing opportunities/emissions opportunities/green destinations profit & marketing maximization opportunities/innovative destination initiatives in practice

Masterclass leaders will include Professor Geoffrey Lipman, Andrea Nicholas and Valere Tjolle.

Attendees will also benefit from a range of field visits including local vineyards & olive groves salt lakes (salines) eminent cookery school; local food and wine, salt and olive oil tastings; green hotel inspections; walking trails; destination inspections; local cultural content.

Prices will include 4 morning masterclasses and 1 morning forum, 4 afternoon/evening field visits, refreshments during masterclasses and forum, local lunches and dinners each day.

And there will be ample pre, during and post-event folios and information.
