JAL giving away free domestic flights
Japan Airlines is launching a campaign to encourage travellers to explore the country beyond the crowded cities of Tokyo and Osaka.
JAL is offering freebie flights to allow international visitors to ‘see Japan with fresh eyes.’
Starting from February 2020 there will be 50,000 free domestic return tickets up for grabs with the Win a Trip with JAL campaign.
To take part, participants must register as an overseas JAL Mileage Bank frequent flyer.
The free ticket travel period is between July and September 2020.
JAL says it will announce more details in January.
The campaign is aimed at dispersing numbers across the country during the Tokyo Olympics from July 24 to August 9.
It is hoped that the campaign will help ease pressure on the city’s expected accommodation shortage during the Olympics.
