JAL restarts flights to Dallas Fort Worth
Japan Airlines will restart flights to Dallas Fort Worth this fall after a gap of more than a decade.
The carrier will relaunch service four times a week between DFW and Tokyo’s Narita Airport in November using Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner aircraft.
JAL previously operated the route from 1999 but it was scrapped following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The route will be part of JAL’s joint venture agreement with American Airlines.
The two airlines have agreed to share revenue, sales and marketing on some flights between Japan and the US.
American was recently granted permission to begin flights between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Los Angeles, which will also be operated as part of the joint venture.
