JAL to codeshare with Fiji Airways
Japan Airlines has agreed a codesharing pact with Oneworld Alliance partner Fiji Airways.
The deal allows JAL to offer customers almost daily service to Nadi, with two direct flights and services via other Asian hubs including Singapore and Hong Kong.
The tie-up with JAL is Fiji Airways’s fifth with an Oneworld airline.
Fiji Air is a Oneworld connect member.
"The partnership will provide customers with convenient travel options between Japan and the Fiji. As we head toward 2020, this agreement will further expand JAL`s international network, which is extremely valuable for our business model," said JAL president, Yuji Akasaka.
The codeshare flights, with JAL’s code placed on Fiji Airway-operated routes, are now open for sale, although regulatory approvals are still pending.
