Japan Airlines Co. will reassign around 3,000 employees to its low-cost carrier subsidiary and other business units as international travel struggles to recover.
International and business travel demand remains week but domestic is back to about 90% of pre-pandemic levels.
Staff will transfer to budget airline Zipair and Jalux Inc, which handles the loyalty program business, according to sources.
