Jamaica sees record arrivals from UK and Ireland
Visitors from the UK and Ireland have nudged passed 200,000 for the first time following a 12% rise in 2015.
In total, there were 201,364 arrivals from the UK and Ireland, not including cruise passengers.
A spokesperson for the tourist board said numbers were expected to grow further due to the launch of a direct flight between Dublin and Montego Bay this summer.
The continued strength of the pound against the US dollar, a fall in fuel surcharges, growth in the UK and Irish economies and cruise liners home porting in Montego Bay are all contributing to an increase in visitors, said Jamaica.
