Japanese city lures visitors with Ninja hotel rooms
The Japanese city of Iga has a new tourism product it hopes will lure more tourists – Ninja hotels.
Iga is noted as a historic centre of Ninja culture.
The Iga-Ueno Tourist Association is rolling out the ‘Ninpak’ (Ninja hotel) program.
It will see replica Ninja items placed in hotel rooms throughout the city.
The items come from the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum, which is run by the tourist association.
Items include shuriken throwing stars, Ninja scrolls, Ninja wallcoverings and other replica weapons.
The first hotel to get the Ninja treatment is the Iga Ueno City Hotel.
The tourist association hopes to expand the Ninpak program to several hotels across the city.
