Jet2 revises Canary Islands schedule after sandstorm
Jet2.com will reconvene its flights to and from the Canary Islands on Tuesday morning.
Passengers who were due to fly out from the UK on Sunday and Monday with the carrier will now fly out tomorrow.
TUI reinstated flights to and from the Canary Islands on Monday, although many are operating with delays, according to live updates on its website.
Jet2 will operate 21 flights from nine UK airports, including Stansted, Leeds Bradford and East Midlands tomorrow.
Passengers who were due to return on Sunday and Monday will be flown out tomorrow or, in some cases, Wednesday.
Flight details have been updated on Jet2’s website, although the airline warned flight times are approximate and for guidance only.
A spokesperson said: "Like all airlines operating to the Canary Islands, the adverse and changeable conditions affecting the area since the weekend have resulted in flights experiencing delays or having to be diverted to other airports.
"We would like to apologise to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused by these extraordinary circumstances, which are completely beyond our control. Our teams are working tirelessly to look after customers and to get everyone to their intended destination as soon as possible."
