JetBlue gets approval for London flights
JetBlue is another important step close to joining the crowded transatlantic market.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority has given the green light to the New York based carrier to operate London flights from New York and Boston.
It is the first foreign carrier permit issued separately by the CAA since Brexit.
JetBlue plans to launch flights later this year but hasn’t yet disclosed a start date.
It will operate A321LR aircraft on the routes which include Mint business class suites.
The airline has secured provisional slots at London’s three main airports after it was recently granted space at London Heathrow.
