JetBlue launching flights to Mexico City
JetBlue announced it will begin flying to Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport from Florida in the fall.
Launching October 1, two new routes will take off from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando International Airport to Mexico City, which will become JetBlue’s second Mexican destination and the 35th city in the airline’s Latin America and Caribbean network.
JetBlue has been aggressively adding routes in the region, with recently announced plans to serve Quito, Antigua, and Grenada, and expanding its premium Mint service on New York flights to Aruba and Barbados.
JetBlue is offering a limited time introductory fare at $99 one-way from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood or Orlando to Mexico City valid for bookings made today, May 19, 2015.
Both routes will be served by JetBlue’s new Airbus A320 aircraft.
"Mexico City is a destination that we have been very eager to add to our network. At the same time, we are proud to continue enhancing our already growing presence in Florida," said Dave Clark, vice president network planning, JetBlue.
