JetBlue terminal opens at JFK
A new terminal, dedicated to JetBlue Airways, was inaugurated at New York JFK this week.
The new Terminal 5 is designed to handle up to 20 million passengers per year.
It is situated behind the landmark TWA Terminal and the two buildings are joined via tubes that were used by TWA’s passengers to access gates.
The TWA Terminal no longer meets the needs of passengers because of its “many aeronautical limitationsâ€, but will be re-opened to the public next year to “new airport-related uses, which are yet to be determinedâ€.
