Jetset profit results
Jeteset Travelworld Limited has reported a net profit after tax of $3.1 million for the half year ended 31 December 2005.This represents an increase of $1.1 million or 56.5 % on the previously reported result for the corresponding period last year.
The Executive Chairman Brian Wild, said the Board was ” particularly pleased with the result, which reflected the continued focus on improving the group’s competitive position.”
Chief Executive Joe Esposito said mangaements focus now was to take the business to the next level. He cited the strong relationship with the Fly Buys loyalty program and a renewed association with Channel Seven’s Sunrise program as examples of the group positioning itself alongside Australia’s market leaders.
The Mole will feature an interview with the Group’s Chief Executive Office, Gai Tyrrell later this week.
