Jetstar Holidays is demonstrating its commitment to providing low fares to Japanese travelers by announcing a sale offer beginning today on its services between Japan and Australia, with return fares starting from 20,000JPY# exclusive of surcharges, fees and taxes.

Jetstar commenced on the Osaka-Brisbane-Sydney route on 25 March 2007, flying daily to Australia with a fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft (303 seat configured), providing two classes of service including StarClass, Jetstar’s business class.

Sale fares from JPY 20,000# return are now available on Jetstar’s future Cairns – Nagoya* and Cairns – Osaka* routes which are proposed to commence later this year, subject to final regulatory approval.

Sale fares from JPY 30,000# return on Jetstar’s existing Osaka-Brisbane-Sydney service are for the travel period between 1 October and 16 December 2007, subject to availability. The sale will end at 10am Monday 30 April 2007, unless seats sell out prior.  Further details are available at www.jetstar.com

The fare special is also available at Jetstar Holidays Telephone Reservations on 0034 800 400 839.

Jetstar has established Jetstar Holidays Co Limited in Japan and recently obtained regulatory approval to hold a tour operator’s license.

Jetstar CEO Alan Joyce said the value based carrier’s latest fare sale reinforced its commitment to offer consistent low fares and a new affordable international product to the Japanese market, adding, “Jetstar remains the low fares leader in every market it serves and this includes our recent new services to Japan.”

“Jetstar has established Jetstar Holidays Co Limited in Japan which allows us to deliver more flexible fare solutions to consumers and this will be an important driver to continue bringing low fares, such as our latest JPY 20,000# return fare offer to the Japanese market.”

“Jetstar’s successful launch of international operations from Japan last month is meeting our expectations and creating new opportunities for more people to fly between Australia and Japan through additional capacity and more affordable fares.”

“We also foresee the benefits of offering more low fares on future markets in which Jetstar will enter including Cairns – Nagoya* and Cairns – Osaka* routes later this year.”

From 2 August 2007*, Jetstar will operate six weekly return services direct between Nagoya and Cairns including twice weekly Sydney-Cairns-Nagoya, launching the airline for the first time in Nagoya.

Commencing 8 September 2007* Jetstar will also serve Cairns directly from Osaka four times weekly.

All Jetstar international services to and from Japan employ a number of Japanese-speaking cabin crew, entertainment options with Japanese language content, and a specific menu of popular Japanese food and beverage item.
