Jonathon Porritt Key Speaker at TMI Convention
Tourism SouthWest has assisted in providing Jonathan Porritt, the Green Campaigner to speak at the 2008 TMI Annual Convention.
Porritt is co-founder of Forum for the Future, a writer, broadcaster and commentator on sustainable development.
Established in 1996, Forum for the Future is the UK’s leading sustainable development charity, with 70 staff and over 100 partner organisations, including some of the world’s leading companies. In the travel business, Eurostar, First Group, TUI, Virgin, VisitBritain and Tourism South West are all notable partners.

The conference, titled ‘Destination Management: Cutting Edge Skills for Changing Markets’, is designed to meet the specific needs of tourism professionals, the event combines a variety of practical sessions and expert advice with leading keynote plenaries and debates. Delegates can also opt into a programme of study tours, and enjoy peer-to-peer networking in structured breaks and during social events.
Attendance at the full conference attracts 15 hours of CPD accreditation.
The conference is to be held 7 -10 October at the Mercure Holland House Hotel, Bristol
