Car and campervan rental company Jucy Rentals has released its upgraded Choppa campervan in response to the demand for campervan holidays in Australia.

Recent official data shows a four percent increase in stays in caravan parks and camping grounds in Australia last year.

The new Choppa campervan will hit Australian roads by August this year.

A Nissan El Grand make, the Jucy Choppa has a signature bright green and purple exterior.

Sleeping up to four people, the upgraded Choppa campervan has an electric roof pod that opens to reveal a double bed, also known as the ‘Penthouse’.

It is equipped with a full sized fridge, double gas cooker and two flat screen TVs with DVD players

Tim Alpe, co-founder of Jucy Rentals, said, “In 2010 we plan to roll out 150 of the new Choppas to keep up with the demand for Jucy in Australia."
