Just in case you missed it yesterday – Why TravelMole chose to partner with Travel + Leisure……..

For many years I have wondered why travel agents don’t use the plethora of highly professional, coffee table style full colour magazines available today, because I believe they would be a really effective sales tool with their clients.

I did a bit of mystery shopping recently, with every agent I spoke with using the brochures on their shelves, but not one using travel magazines as an independent and unbiased source of information on destinations, accommodation, things to do and heaps of new and interesting travel ideas and experiences from all over the world!

When I asked the agents I mystery shopped if they had a more independent source of information than the wholesaler’s brochure, they generally looked mystified and said that I would have to do my own research on the internet at home and all they had were the brochures!

The net effect of that response?  One lost client!

So, TravelMole decided to do something about this missing link as I really believe that travel magazines could be the single most significant consumer resource to make clients book with you and not another agency or even on line!

I started to look around at what appeared to be the heaps of magazines in this space and market and it was not long before I came across what I believe now to be the clear leader – Travel + Leisure.

Why?

If you recall, I was looking for independence and what really appealed to me about this magazine, over and above the excellent Travel + Leisure articles and features, was their independence, not accepting freebies from anybody!  Hey, there are others than don’t accept freebies, but combine independence with T+L’s excellent information and it is a winner!

In addition, the quality of the articles, features, reviews etc I think is absolutely fantastic and clearly written from a travellers perspective.

So, how can you use Travel + Leisure to improve your business?

Well, firstly by CLICKING HERE, you can now receive a digital on line version of Travel + Leisure for only $10 a year – yes I know it sounds incredible, but I did say only $10 a year and the digital or on line edition is exactly the same as the print magazine, except on line.

Hey, the quality of some of the images is not quite as hot – how could they be because in the magazine they are fabulous – but it is a really great on line substitute for the real thing and something you can just quickly log into and show your clients – all for $10!

You can also subscribe to the print edition by CLICKING HERE and imagine what a resource you will then have in your office, taking you head and shoulders above the competition, so that when one of your clients walks in and asks about Vietnam or London, you will be able to show them a totally independent and impartial article in Travel + Leisure instead of just a brochure!

Of course, the brochure has its place, but how much better is Travel + Leisure as an independent sales tool!

You could also give your valued clients a subscription to Travel + Leisure on line and then when they book, you can give them a gift subscription of the print version, so that they are reminded of doing business with you and also the fabulous holiday they booked with you, every month throughout the year, well after they have arrived back home.

All you need to do is CLICK HERE and you if you are an American Express member, one year’s subscription will cost you $44.95 or with other cards, $59.95 – a tiny percentage of the profit on a trip overseas, but a sure thing investment in getting your clients to come back to you!

So, why not give Travel + Leisure a try and transform your tourism business!
