Kids Stay Free special at debut of first US Legoland Hotel
Legoland California is kicking off the opening of its first-ever themed resort in the US with a Kids Stay and Play Free offer.
Guests who book by March 31, for stays from opening day on April 5 through June 20, will get one free child’s ticket to the park and one free child breakfast with every paid adult.
Designed "to bring children’s imaginations to life," the new 250-room, three-story Legoland Hotel will feature brightly colored, interactive LEGO décor, a pool and lounge area, a Castle Play area, event space, and a family restaurant.
This will be the second Legoland resort; the other is in Billund, Denmark.
The hotel is being designed specifically for families with young children. Every room is themed after one of the most popular Legoland areas: Pirate, Kingdom, or Adventure.
Each room includes a separate sleeping area for up to three children, with bunk beds and a pull-out trundle bed, two televisions so kids can watch movies and play games, and at least eight LEGO models.
Every room also has a treasure hunt, with clues scattered about that lead to a treasure chest for kids to find and unlock.
A smoke-breathing LEGO dragon sits at the hotel entrance, one of 3,500 LEGO models created out of more than three million LEGO bricks, including seven animated ones.
An interactive bubble-blowing dragon, who’s taking a bath, sprays water and speaks to young guests.
Six thousand LEGO figures adorn the wall behind the reception desk.
The hotel is located at the main entrance of Legoland California, and guests will have exclusive early-morning access to the park.
Regular weekday rates on the hotel website start at $229 a night.
