KLM website tops 100,000 UK visitors a week
KLM claims an average of 105,000 UK visitors a week to its website – a rise of 45% over last year.
The Dutch carrier says almost 85% of UK passengers now use e-tickets, representing the highest penetration of usage across its network.
The airline is expanding internet check-in and home printed boarding passes via KLM.com to passengers carrying hand baggage only to flights from Newcastle this month and Bristol in August.
UK general manager Vincent Knoops said: “All airlines have had to refocus their attention on this area of their business in order to compete effectively.”
