Kuoni buys Paris shop
Kuoni has bought upmarket French-based tour operator Les Ateliers du Voyage for an undisclosed sum.
The business has a range of brands in the French market which Kuoni will keep: Yoketa for Asia, brand, Grandeur Nature for South America, Arroyo for Latin America and Ananta which provides unusual tours for small groups.
Since March 2006, Les Ateliers du Voyage has also had a ‘high street’ presence, with a 700 square metre shop in Paris’s 7th Quarter. Most of its sales are direct, with some product shifted through independent agents.
It has 15 staff and last year turned over €13m. All staff will be kept on by the new owner.
It will be part of Kuoni France, led by Emmanuel Foiry and is positioned into the Style strategic business unit, led by Reto Wilhelm, under the new divisional structure announced in June. Kuoni UK is sits within Style.
