Kuoni buys Scottish firm
Kuoni Destination Management UK has acquired Edinburgh-based Apa Travel (Scotland).
The move is part of an expansion of the company’s inbound services.
Apa Travel, founded in 1991, will be re-named Kuoni Incoming Services Ltd, Destination Management Scotland. Catriona Osborne, formerly of JAC Travel, has been appointed manager of the Edinburgh operation to compliment Apa’s existing staff.
Kuoni Destination Management UK general manager Martin Cook said: “We have acquired a company with great people, a strong track record and good expertise. These are exciting times for all of us and with a solid base in Edinburgh, we can now capitalise upon the massive potential Scotland has as a destination to offer our incoming and direct business streams.
“There is clearly a lot happening over the coming months to finalise the integration of this business, its suppliers and its clientele into the Kuoni DMC Network, but business will continue as usual for both companies for the course of the transition and all clients will continue to receive the high level of service they have come to expect from Kuoni.”
