Kuoni drops web discounts after promise to agents
Kuoni has dumped its 5% book online discount offer from all its holidays following a pledge it made to agents earlier this month.
This removes any difference in price on a holiday bought in store, online or through agents, sending a message to the trade that preferred pricing for direct sales is no longer an option.
The operator, however, will still be offering tactical discounts on selected holidays but all of these offers will be available through agents too.
Kuoni national sales manager Amanda Darrington said: “With the removal of our 5% online discount our commitment to the trade is stronger than ever, with our branded Agent Partnerships and jointly branded, fully refitted stores offering a premium service to customers in an exclusive environment.”
