‘Largest’ rental site opened by Alamo at Sanford
Alamo Rent A Car claims to have opened the largest car rental facility at Orlando’s Sanford airport.
Arriving holidaymakers will now proceed directly down a covered walkway to have their car hire processed at 16 Alamo counters.
Customers can then select any car from those available in the group they have booked.
The company says the ‘Choice’ option reduces processing time so travellers can start enjoying their holiday as soon as possible.
Alamo marketing director Sally Hinds said: “We can now offer more cars, more choice and even more convenience to our customers; taking the hassle out of car rental.
“Our Choice product sets Alamo apart from the competition and is a huge benefit for UK customers as they are typically in their cars for 14 days. We also provide greeters in the car park to assist customers and offer handy driving advice before they set off.
“This is a key location for Alamo and this development reflects our commitment to the needs of the UK marketplace and of our customers, ensuring they enjoy a quality rental experience from rental to return.”
Thomas Cook UK chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa welcomed the move, saying: “Orlando is such a popular destination and our customers will really benefit from the improved facility. Customers will also love the fact they can choose the car in the group they have booked.
“This also gives our agents a great selling angle to ensure they can maximise rental bookings to this destination.”
