Karen Eason, a winner last year, said: “The Shine Awards are unique because they acknowledge and celebrate the talent and success that exists in women working in the travel & tourism industry.

“For me personally to be associated and acknowledged as a successful young entrepreneur and described as charismatic & inspirational is truly rewarding for the time, commitment and risks I have taken in the industry.

“The Shine Awards are widely promoted in travel trade magazines and it has indirectly promoted Sunshine Travel and directly myself as a credible business owner that is successful and this has gone on to boost my personal morale and the knock on effect has been positive with employees seeing that also their hard work and personal achievement has assisted the achievement of a Shine Award.”
