Lastminute.com offering holiday vouchers as vaccination incentive
Lastminute.com will offer perks to holidaymakers as extra motivation to get fully jabbed.
The travel brand is part of a nationwide effort to speed up vaccinations for younger people and includes other travel related businesses Uber and National Express.
Customers over 18 will get a £30 gift voucher to be used to book a holiday.
It will be awarded when they book their vaccination slot on the lastminute website.
"We’re delighted to be partnering with the government’s young people’s vaccination scheme. We’ve committed to helping people travel safely, and the vaccination schemes have had a big impact on doing so – especially in the UK," said Andrea Bertoli, CEO of lastminute.com Group.
The number of fully vaccinated people has now surpassed 70%.
Other perks being offered include shopping vouchers at Asda, while taxi app Free Now will offer up to £1million in free journeys for over-18s who attend their vaccine appointment before the end of September.
Bolt will be offering £10 vouchers for rides in Birmingham and Leicester.
