Lastminute.com pushes ahead again
Travel and tourism shares once again had a disappointing day as London’s main equity indices dropped back.
The FTSE 100 index lost 16.1 points to close at 4592.3, while the FTSE 250 had a similar session, losing 7.7 points to end the day at 6268.8.
The biggest move of the day came at lastminute.com, which gained 8.5p to close at 137p as takeover talks once again did the City rounds. The share price continued to move forward this morning; in early trading the shares moved up a further 6.5p to 143.5p.
