Lastminute.com shares buck the trend

What goes up must come down – and so, after a superb stock market session on Wednesday, travel and tourism shares slumped yesterday.

 

The FTSE index dropped 43.1 points to close at 4428.7, while the FTSE 250 fell 48.4 points to end the day at 5978.6.

 

Some of the biggest movements included: British Airways, down 5.75p to 257.25p; EasyJet, down 8.75p to 208p; and ebookers, down 5p at 265p. Lastminute.com bucked the trend with a 8.25p rise to close at 183.5p.
