Lastminute enhances business-to-business services
Travel Technology Show Special Report: Lastminute.com is making its Web 2.0 functionality available to its white label partners in the UK.
The online agent is claiming a first with the extension of its Fare Calendar, user generated content such as hotel reviews and carbon offsetting initiative to its white label services. The technology is already being used by airports site BAA.com.
Lastminute is also pushing into Europe with its business-to-business services and has already developed multi-lingual, multi-currency sites for Kuoni in Switzerland and Swiss rail company, SBB.
Group commercial director Vic Darvey said: “For b2b we have been concentrating on the UK for the past eight years and previously we did not have the capability to take it across Europe. Now, because of Sabre, we can provide all of our trade distribution, hotels content and car hire to our European partners.”
The online agent has created a single European web services platform to expand its b2b offering across the continent.
