Lastminute founder to join Twitter
Lastminute.com founder Martha Lane Fox has tweeted that she will be joining the board of Twitter.
Baroness Lane-Fox, who set up lastminute.com with co-founder Brent Hoberman at the start of the digital revolution in 1998, told the BBC she was ‘absolutely over the moon’ to be joining the social network.
Perhaps not surprisingly, she broke the news of her appointment with a Tweet, describing it as the ‘best job ever’.
Lane-Fox and Hoberman sold Lastminute.com in 2005 in a deal that valued the late booking site at £577 million.
