Lastminute shares recover on results
Travel and tourism shares made small gains yesterday as London’s equity markets moved ahead.
The FTSE 100 index gained 40.9 points to close at 4453.8, while the FTSE 250 added 41.7 points to end the day at 6010.7.
Among the day’s winners were lastminute.com, which added 9p to close at 174p after releasing decent second-quarter figures, and Ryanair, which put on 13.375p to end the day at 309.25p.
