Latest Dolphin enhancement reduces booking keystrokes by up to 70%
In the fifth upgrade to its travel platform this year, Dolphin Dynamics has introduced usability enhancements designed to make travel agent and tour operator’s booking and fulfillment processes faster and more integrated.
These include a new quote revalidation feature which enables cost quotes stored on Dolphin to be automatically converted to bookings via a single input. Resulting in overall keystroke savings of up to 70% for users completing a multi-product booking that requires pricing rechecks and the capture of booking information into Dolphin’s booking management (mid/back-office) module.
Using Dolphin, cost quotes incorporating a variety of suppliers including GDS-sourced and low-cost airlines, accommodation, car and transfer suppliers – as well as directly negotiated contracts, can be efficiently generated and saved. With markups automatically applied where relevant and high quality documentation distributed via print or email. Now, using Dolphin’s new cost quote validation feature, its customers can convert even the most complex quote into a booking via a single mouse-click.
Roberto Da Re, President at Dolphin Dynamics commented, “This new Dolphin feature is all about helping our customers increase their quote to booking conversion ratios. This starts by providing a streamlined process that encourages users to save all quotes because they know they can be speedily converted. Once saved, Dolphin really goes to work – generating automatic follow-up reminders for any outstanding quotes and providing the marketing team with the capability to analyse quote to booking ratios in order to refine their product offering, pricing and marketing communications.â€
The London-based technology supplier says investment in product development is a key priority and it is maintaining a 6-weekly upgrade cycle across its entire product suite.
