Learn about the US at See America Week
Agency, operator and reservations staff are being offered an educational seminar about the US later this month.
The event on June 22 is being held as part of See America Week run by the Travel Industry Association of America at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London. The seminar provides an opportunity for travel agents, tour operators and travel agents to learn how to get the best deals on everything related to travel to the US, from hotels, shopping and how to build new itineraries, to how to increase sales.
TIA’s international marketing manager Gabriella Vecchio said: “This is a great way for travel agents, operators and reservations to learn more about US destinations and travel products, as well as to meet some of the industry’s key players.”
The seminars comprise inter-active multi-media presentations from 15 US organisations, including event sponsor, Marriott, plus the See America Treasure’s Game, in which delegates must answer questions relating to the presentations to win a holiday to the US, courtesy of Cosmos Tourama.
The educational seminar is just one of a number of events being held during See America Week. Others include a grand opening reception, incorporating VUSA Travel Media Awards, on June 20 at the US Ambassador’s Residence; the Media Market Place on June 21, where US organisations meet and network with over 150 members of the UK travel press; and the VUSA Gala Ball at the Dorchester on June 21.
See America Week is run in partnership by TIA, Visit USA UK and the US Commercial Service.
