Liberty for all?
The Statue of Liberty in New York opens again next week.
Guided tours by a park ranger will show off an enhanced lighting and new video system.
Visitors will also once again be able to walk out onto the Statue’s observation deck to see the panoramic view of New York City and the Harbour.
Located on the 12-acre Liberty Island in New York Harbour, the Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France.
Liberty Island re-opened after 9-11, but the statue remained closed until now.
In the past, the statue attracted upwards of six million visitors.
