Libra claims late bookings turnaround
Libra Holidays has reported a turnaround in sales this month following a “tough and challenging” booking period for the industry.
While bookings for summer 2007 got off to a slow start compared to last year, a “sizeable surge” in enquiries has enabled the operator, which specialises in Cyprus, Egypt, Greece and Turkey, to recover and be on a par with last year with some areas even reaching slightly above targets.
Sales and marketing senior manager Riccardo Benzo said: “It is no secret that the industry is experiencing one of the toughest booking periods in history and is finding this time a challenge.
“In spite of these external conditions Libra Holidays has overcome a slow start for summer 2007 and I am pleased to report that sales are on the up across our range of holidays.”
